Challenges & Mitigations

Challenge

A key programme and quality consideration is to ensure that our team are equipped and trained to work sensitively in a live environment. Working sensitively around vulnerable individuals to complete upgrade and refurbishment works carries a number of challenges to ensure that our behaviours, approach and programming are aligned to safeguard the wellbeing of the residents and staff.

Mitigation

To ensure that we work safely and considerately in our project delivery, all staff and subcontractors have been provided with contract-specific training. This included:

  • Safeguarding
  • Risk assessment/method statement site briefings
  • COVID-19 safety protocol and best practice
  • Communication Plan and Customer Service

All works must also be controlled in line with COVID-19 guidelines to minimise the risk of any transmission occurring as a result of our operations.

Challenge

Envivo projects are managed and monitored by Project Manager, Steve Carter, who ensures each work package is appropriately programmed and delivered on time, whilst mitigating any risks and concerns. Steve incorporates the specific needs and requirements of the residents and the facility. This includes comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential hazards and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to safeguard the well-being of vulnerable individuals.

Maintaining regular communication with Envivo Group also ensures we can liaise with residential/care home managers to agree:

  • Access
  • Timing
  • Protective equipment needed
  • Signage required
  • Special measures, e.g., safeguarding, hygiene, and COVID-19 protocol

Mitigation

After works commenced, Envivo were provided with real-time reports of completion followed by the issuing of completion certificates. Client feedback is invited to ensure works conducted were satisfactory and to specification, with staff and residents both encouraged to review our performance in terms of customer service and mindfulness of residents’ needs.

To date, we have conducted works for Envivo Group with a customer satisfaction rating of 100%. All feedback, whether positive or constructive, is logged and reviewed to form part of our commitment to continuous improvement. Any suggestions as to how we can better serve our clients is fed back into our policies, training programme, and company values, however our feedback from Envivo Group has been overwhelmingly positive regarding both works completed and resident/staff experience.
